TIME International, in co-operation with Volkswagen and AL-KO, now offers 3.5 t GVW lightweight Versalift access platforms mounted on the popular VW T5 Transporter chassis.

TIME International is ready with access platforms mounted on the popular VW T5 Transporter. The T5, traditionally a 3.2 t GVW vehicle at best, has been upgraded to the 3.5 t GVW class as it is being fitted with a reinforced AL-KO-chassis. The project is a strategic cooperation between Volkswagen, AL-KO and TIME International initiated in light of the high demand for the VW T5 in especially Germany. The extra 300 kg available will allow us to mount larger lifts on the chassis, provide a larger range of optional equipment – or simply offer a larger spare payload than otherwise possible. The 3.5 t GVW vehicle is accessible to operators with a regular drivers licence.

It is our ambition to provide innovative solutions for safe access to elevated worksites from all the vehicles, our customers demand. Offering chassis mounted access platforms for the VW T5 with AL-KO chassis we expand our constantly growing product line even further – just days after the introduction of van mounted Versalift access platforms for the new 2014 Ford Transit.

The first model presented, an ETM-40-140-F, provides safe access to 13.8 m working height with a 6.8 m outreach at the cage capacity of 200 kg. Features of the vehicle include two sets of A-frame outriggers, a 180° flyboom/jib and proportional electrical controls. TIME International will be able to offer a variety of different lightweight access platforms for the VW T5 with AL-KO chassis with working heights ranging from 10 to 15 meters.
