The LAT-38-H on Isuzu D-Max is a new addition to the Nationwide Platforms rental fleet

Versalift UK are delighted to receive an order from Nationwide Platforms for 90 van and pickup mounted Versalift AWPs. With this large investment, Nationwide Platforms, part of the Lavendon Group will be greatly expanding their impressive fleet of vehicle mounted AWPs.

“This order places our company in a very strong position to satisfy the demands of the marketplace with class leading products,” says John Weights, UK Operations Director at Nationwide Platforms.

The order consists of:

  • 18 Versalift LAT-38-H on Isuzu D-Max pickups
  • 46 Versalift ETM-36-F on Ford Transit vans
  • 26 Versalift ETM-38-F on Iveco Daily vans

Nationwide Platforms recently took delivery of 11 units of the new, full hydraulic Versalift LAT-38-H mounted on Isuzu D-Max pickups in February. The vehicles were assigned to a tree maintenance contractor and were immediately commissioned. As the units have been so well received, Lavendon has now elected to order an additional 18 identical units this year. There has been tremendous interest in the articulated telescopic LAT-38-H since its launch last year, and it is proving to be a very popular 4×4 mounted AWP. It has a working height of 13.3 metres and a large platform capacity of 230 kg.

The ETM van mounts make up the bulk of the order and are the best-selling models from the Versalift range. They are popular in all applications including street lighting, signage and telecoms maintenance. The Versalift ETM-36-F is a well proven, durable AWP installed on the new 3.5 t Ford Transit van with A-frame outriggers and a 110° articulating fly jib. It has a working height of 13.0 metres with a maximum outreach of 7.9 metres and a platform capacity of 200 kg. The all new Versalift ETM-38-F was recently launched and has been specified on the larger 5.2T Iveco Daily van and boasts a working height of 14.3 metres with 7.3 metres of outreach and a platform capacity of 200kg. Both ETM platforms boast zero knuckle tail swing making the lifts safer to use in the carriageway. The order will be delivered to Nationwide Platforms in increments with completion of the final unit by September 2015.
